I'm just trying to figure out who'd they cast as Claire and Jamie.
Especially if you're going to invest in the entire series. I have read all the books , some 3 or 4 times while waiting on the next one to come out. The story I believe could appeal to both genders, if written correctly.
"Outlander" appears to be a romance novel more than anything but is "filled with adventure, religion, and human conscience." Unfortunately this sounds a bit too emotional for my own tastes.
"Diana Gabaldon has a true gift for understanding human emotion and translating it for the rest of us to understand." Nothing actually wrong with that, I'm just not interested in seeing a romantic 18th century adventure on the big screen.
Her father, Sam (Harve Presnell), also brought with him his new fiancee, a cyborg named Baby Gunderson (Kathy Trageser).
In the meantime, Mindy Church (Jessica Collins), who is now the head of Intergang even though Intergang is shut down and keeps a low profile, plans to kill Superman using a virus from Krypton.
It’s another great Christmas episode from a beloved show.
It is Christmas Eve and Lois and Clark are getting ready for the first Christmas dinner at their home with family and friends but things get weird when an imp from the fifth dimension named Mister Mxyzptlk (Howie Mandel) appears and wants to conquer the Earth making Superman leave. No director has been chosen yet, although the screenplay is currently out to filmmakers. The series, which began in 1991 with the novel "Outlander", tells the story of Claire Randall, the time-traveling wife of an 18th century Scottish Highlander named Jamie. But I know women that have followed it since it's beginning, more than 17 years ago. While the romance between Claire and Jamie is the focal point of the story, there's a lot of action, wars (the Battle of Culloden in particular..Scotland tries to break free from England), and it really beautifully describes what Scotland was like in the 1700's.If directed well, I believe this movie could be huge. And add in the mysticsm aspect of the story (how Claire mysteriously falls back in time 200 yrs after finding a circle of stones while walking through a Scottish forest in the 1940's) and it'll hook a lot of people. The story gets really good as the books progress, especially when Claire leaves, then returns back in time 20 yrs later (man I cried when they reunited)...then they go to America and became patriots in the Independence War.All of them though end up having other plans and Lois is alone at her apartment until Clark appears on her door, who canceled his Christmas with his family to be with her.
